THE SOMMELIER

My name is Marco Bertaina and I am originally from Vernante.

My desire to discover the world led me to travel far from home to London,Scotland and Australia, where I lived and worked. It was during these travels that I first started learning about the world of the gourmet food service industry
and the refined world of the wine industry

When I returned to Italy, I put my experience to work and became a wine and cheese taster. I have also toured Tuscany and the Langhe in order to deepen my knowledge of Italian wines.
I believe strongly in my passion and have been lucky enough to be able to make my dream come true-run a restaurant near the mountains where I was born and raised and feel deeply rooted to.
